The military community established the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre (TMFRC) in 1992 to foster the unique strength of families within the military. We are a non-profit, volunteer-led and supported organization. In 1999, the TMFRC offered full-time child care through our Children’s Playgarden child care centre - a much-needed service for both military and civilian families.

The Department of National Defence, through its Military Family Services Program, is the TMFRC’s primary funder. Fees for service and fundraising activities are other sources of revenue. The Centre works in close partnership with the Area Support Unit (Toronto) Commanding Officer.

The TMFRC supports military families in six key areas: 

Personal development & community integration 
Volunteer development and involvement 
Deployment support 
Support services 
Children, youth and parenting support programs 
Children’s Playgarden (full-time child care)

La communauté militaire a fondé le Centre de ressources pour les familles des militaires (CRFM) de Toronto en 1992 afin de préserver la solidité particulière des familles au sein des forces. Nous sommes une organisation sans but lucratif dirigée et soutenue par des bénévoles. En 1999, le CRFM Toronto a mis sur pied un service de garde à temps plein – Le Jardin d’enfants – pour répondre à un besoin pressant des familles de militaires et de civils.
Le ministère de la Défense nationale est la principale source de financement du CRFM Toronto par l’entremise de son Programme de services aux familles des militaires. Les tarifs demandés pour les services et les activités de financement constituent les autres sources de revenu. Le Centre travaille en étroite collaboration avec le commandant de l’Unité de soutien de secteur (USS) Toronto.

The Toronto MFRC seeks to deliver relevant and meaningful programs that support, enable, sustain, and develop military families in the GTA.

The Richmond Hill Curling Club is joining with Curlers Care to host the GTA's 2nd Annual Supporting Military Families 2-4 Curling Bonspiel to raise funds for the Toronto Military Family Resource Centre (Toronto MFRC) on Saturday, February 15th 2020.  100% of pledges will go to the Toronto MFRC and will go directly toward assisting serving and former members of the military, and their families, in the Greater Toronto Area.
 
The Toronto MFRC is a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide effective, engaging, and encouraging support services to current and former CAF members and their families residing in the GTA, through the lens of the unique challenges and needs of the military lifestyle, empowering them to confidence, capability, and resiliency.
